What is AMERG?
The Aquatic Mammal Emergency Response Group (AMERG) is a global network of experts and institutions designed to mobilize qualified professionals and resources in response to emergencies involving aquatic mammals. The group provides rapid response to strandings, entanglements, and disease outbreaks, as well as assisting with health assessments to monitor and protect animal welfare. AMERG promotes international cooperation to ensure that skilled professionals and resources are available where and when they are most needed.
